If you're in the market for a convertible laptop that can handle both work and play, this eBay deal on a certified refurbished Lenovo IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 is worth a look. At $627, it's 42% off the usual price, and the specs—Ryzen AI 7 445, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD—are nothing to sneeze at. Let's break down what you're getting.
What You're Getting for $627
The star of the show here is AMD's Ryzen AI 7 445 processor. It's part of the new Ryzen AI 300 series, which means you get solid CPU performance along with integrated Radeon 840M graphics. For everyday tasks—browsing, office work, streaming—this chip won't break a sweat. The 16GB of RAM is the sweet spot for multitasking, and the 512GB SSD should be plenty for most people's files and apps.
The 15.3-inch WUXGA touchscreen is a nice bonus. At 1920 x 1200, you get a bit more vertical space than a standard 1080p panel, which is great for scrolling through documents or web pages. And since it's a 2-in-1, you can flip it into tablet mode for sketching, note-taking, or just lounging on the couch.
Is This a Good Deal?
At $627, this is a pretty aggressive price for a current-gen Ryzen AI laptop with these specs. New units with similar configurations often go for $800 or more, so you're saving a decent chunk of change. The fact that it's certified refurbished means it's been inspected and tested by the manufacturer or a certified partner, and it typically comes with a warranty—though you'll want to double-check the specific terms on the eBay listing.
Historically, we've seen IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 models with older Ryzen chips dip below $600 during major sales, but for a Ryzen AI 7 with 16GB RAM and a touchscreen, this is about as low as it gets right now.
Who Should Buy This?
This laptop is a good fit for students, remote workers, or anyone who wants a versatile machine for light productivity and media consumption. The 2-in-1 form factor adds flexibility, and the AMD processor should handle light gaming (think esports titles or older games) without too much trouble.
If you're a heavy gamer or do a lot of video editing, you'll probably want something with a dedicated GPU. But for general use, this IdeaPad 5 is a solid choice.

Common Questions
What does 'certified refurbished' mean?
It means the laptop has been inspected, tested, and restored to working condition by the manufacturer or a certified refurbisher. It usually comes with a warranty, but check the listing for details.
Can I upgrade the RAM or storage later?
The IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 typically has soldered RAM, so 16GB is likely the max. The SSD is usually replaceable, but confirm with the seller or Lenovo's specs.
Is this good for gaming?
The integrated Radeon 840M can handle light games and esports titles at lower settings, but it's not meant for AAA gaming.
