If you're in the market for a reliable everyday laptop that won't break the bank, this Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 deal on Amazon is worth a look. It's currently marked down to $772.99, which is 15% off the usual price. That gets you a 2026 model with a sharp 15.3-inch WUXGA IPS screen, a capable AMD Ryzen 5 processor, and a generous 16GB of RAM. Let's break down whether it's the right fit for you.
What You're Getting for $772.99
The IdeaPad Slim 3 is Lenovo's budget-friendly line, but this 2026 version comes with some solid specs. The AMD Ryzen 5 8540U is a hexa-core processor that handles everyday tasks like web browsing, office work, and light photo editing without breaking a sweat. Paired with 16GB of RAM, you can keep plenty of tabs open and run multiple apps at once without slowdowns.
The 512GB SSD provides ample space for your files and ensures quick boot times and fast app loading. The 15.3-inch IPS display has a WUXGA resolution (1920x1200), which gives you a bit more vertical space than standard 1080p screens—great for scrolling through documents or web pages. And since it's IPS, you get good viewing angles and decent color reproduction.
- AMD Ryzen 5 8540U: 6 cores, 12 threads, up to 4.9GHz
- 16GB DDR5 RAM (likely soldered, but plenty for years to come)
- 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD
- 15.3" WUXGA (1920x1200) IPS display, anti-glare
- Integrated AMD Radeon graphics
- Windows 11 Home
- Luna Grey color
Is This a Good Price?
At $772.99, this is a decent deal for a 2026 laptop with these specs. Comparable models from other brands often hover around $800–$900, especially with 16GB of RAM and a newer processor. The 15% discount brings it down to a more attractive price point, though it's not a massive markdown.
Historically, IdeaPad Slim 3 models tend to see deeper discounts during major sales events like Black Friday or Prime Day. If you're not in a hurry, you might find a better price later. But if you need a laptop now, this is a fair price for what you get.
- Current price: $772.99 (15% off)
- Typical street price for similar specs: $800–$900
- Watch for deeper discounts during holiday sales
Who Should Buy This?
This laptop is ideal for students, office workers, or anyone who needs a dependable machine for everyday computing. The Ryzen 5 8540U and 16GB of RAM make it capable of handling multitasking, video calls, and light creative work. The 15.3-inch screen is a good size for productivity without being too bulky.
However, if you're a gamer or do heavy video editing, you'll want something with a dedicated GPU. The integrated Radeon graphics are fine for casual games and streaming, but not for demanding titles. Also, if you prefer a touchscreen, this model doesn't have one—though there are other IdeaPad Slim 3 configurations with touch.
- Great for: students, remote workers, general home use
- Not ideal for: gaming, professional video editing, 3D rendering
- No touchscreen on this model
