LG gram 14 with Ryzen AI 7 450 drops to $1,499 — a solid $150 off

If you've been hunting for a laptop that won't weigh you down, the LG gram line has always been a go-to. This particular 14-inch model just got a price cut on Amazon, and it's worth a look if portability is high on your list.

What you're actually getting for $1,499

The star here is the AMD Ryzen AI 7 450 processor. It's built for AI tasks with a dedicated NPU, but more importantly, it handles everyday multitasking without breaking a sweat. Paired with 16GB of LPDDR5x memory and a 1TB NVMe SSD, this configuration should feel snappy for years.

The 14-inch WUXGA display has a 16:10 aspect ratio, which gives you a bit more vertical space than the usual 16:9. At 350 nits, it's bright enough for indoor use, though you might want to avoid direct sunlight. The anti-glare coating helps with reflections.

Why the LG gram stands out

At just 2.47 pounds and 0.67 inches thick, this is one of the lightest 14-inch laptops you can buy. LG also claims it passed seven military-grade durability tests, so it should survive the bumps of daily commuting.

Battery life is another strong point. The 72Wh battery is rated for up to 32 hours of video playback, which in real-world use probably translates to a full day or more of mixed productivity. That's excellent for a laptop this light.

Is this a good deal?

The list price is around $1,650, so $1,499 saves you about $150. That's a decent discount for a current-gen LG gram, though not a massive one. If you need a laptop right now and portability is your top priority, it's a fair price.

Keep in mind that LG gram models sometimes see deeper discounts during major sales events. If you can wait, you might catch it for less. But if you need something lightweight and capable today, this is a solid option.

Who should buy this?

This laptop is ideal for students, frequent travelers, or anyone who spends a lot of time working away from a desk. The light weight and long battery life make it easy to carry all day.

It's also a good fit for general productivity — writing, web browsing, video calls, and light photo editing. The integrated Radeon graphics won't handle serious gaming or heavy video rendering, but for everyday tasks, it's more than enough.

Bottom Line

• $1,499 for a 14" LG gram with Ryzen AI 7 450, 16GB RAM, and 1TB SSD.
• Weighs just 2.47 lbs and is 0.67 inches thin — extremely portable.
• Battery rated for up to 32 hours of video playback.
• Good for productivity and travel, not for gaming or heavy creative work.
