Most sub-$600 laptops make you choose between a decent screen and a decent processor. The LG gram Book 15 currently listed on eBay at $599.99 seems to dodge that tradeoff, pairing a 15-inch 2K touchscreen with Intel's Core Ultra 5 115U, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. That's 40% off, which puts it in genuinely interesting territory for anyone who does a lot of reading, writing, and tab-hoarding.
What $600 Actually Gets You Here
The headline is that 2K touchscreen. On a 15-inch panel, that resolution gives you noticeably crisper text than the 1080p displays that dominate this price bracket, and touch support is a nice bonus for casual browsing or sketching out notes. For spreadsheet work, PDF reading, or anything where you're staring at small type all day, it's a real quality-of-life upgrade.
Under the hood, the Core Ultra 5 115U is a low-power chip built for everyday workloads rather than heavy lifting. Paired with 16GB of RAM, it should handle a pile of browser tabs, video calls, Office documents, and light photo editing without complaint. The 512GB SSD is enough for a normal person's files, though if you shoot a lot of video or keep a big game library, you'll want external storage or to check whether the drive is upgradeable.
Who This Laptop Fits (and Who It Doesn't)
This is a machine for people who live in documents and browsers. Students, office workers, writers, and anyone who wants a big, sharp screen for reading will get a lot out of it. The gram line has a reputation for being light, and a 15-inch laptop that's easy to carry is a combination worth paying for.
What it isn't: a gaming laptop or a video-editing workstation. The Ultra 5 115U's integrated graphics will run older or lightweight titles at modest settings, but don't expect to play current AAA games on it. If your work involves rendering, heavy 3D, or serious creative suites, you'll want something with a dedicated GPU and more cooling headroom.
Is $599.99 a Good Price?
A 40% cut is substantial, and $600 for a 15-inch 2K touchscreen with 16GB of RAM and a current-generation Intel chip sits comfortably below what comparable configurations typically ask. That said, eBay listings vary by seller, so it's worth confirming the condition, warranty terms, and return policy before you commit. A deal is only a deal if the unit arrives as described.
One practical note: check whether the listing is new or refurbished, and who's backing the warranty. LG's own coverage versus a third-party seller's policy can make a big difference if something goes wrong six months in.
Bottom Line
- $599.99 gets you a 15-inch 2K touchscreen, Core Ultra 5 115U, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD — 40% off.
- Great fit for students, office work, and anyone who values a sharp, roomy display.
- Not built for gaming or heavy creative work; the integrated graphics are modest.
- Verify seller condition, warranty, and return terms before buying on eBay.
Common Questions
Can this laptop handle gaming?
Only lightly. The Core Ultra 5 115U uses integrated graphics, so older or low-demand titles will run at reduced settings, but modern AAA games are out of reach.
Is the RAM or storage upgradeable?
The listing doesn't specify, so confirm with the seller before assuming you can expand either later.
Why buy from eBay instead of a big-box retailer?
The discount is the draw, but eBay purchases depend on the individual seller. Check their feedback, the item condition, and the warranty terms before checkout.
