What You're Getting for $899
The MSI Cyborg is a budget-friendly gaming laptop that doesn't skimp on the essentials. The 15.6-inch FHD screen runs at 144Hz, so fast-paced games will look smooth. Under the hood, the Intel Core i5-13420H handles everyday tasks and gaming without breaking a sweat, while the RTX 5050 GPU is built for 1080p play. With 16GB of RAM, you can keep a bunch of tabs open or run a game and Discord at the same time. The 512GB SSD is on the smaller side, but it's speedy and enough to get you started.
Is This a Good Deal?
At $899, this is a solid price for the specs. Gaming laptops with RTX 5050 graphics and a 144Hz display often hover around the $1,000 mark, so saving 30% is nothing to sneeze at. It's not the cheapest laptop out there, but for a dedicated gaming machine with current-gen graphics, it's a fair deal. If you've been waiting for a price drop on an entry-level gaming rig, this is a reasonable time to jump.
- 30% off brings it to $899 — a typical sale price for this configuration.
- RTX 5050 is a solid GPU for 1080p gaming at medium to high settings.
